Description
Armourtex – Web & Roundslings
Suitable applications and benefits
- Chains
- Wire rope
- Polyester webbing slings and lashings
- Safe Lifting Procedure
- High resistance to abrasion
- Extremely cut resistant
- Very good elasticity
- Good chemical resistance
- No ageing
Web slings, round slings, ropes etc. can be protected from damage whilst lifting sharp edged loads with Armourtex protective sleeves.
Armourtex protective sleeves are made out of Polyurethane, a material unique in its extreme resistance to abrasion and cutting, thus offering optimal protection of a sling can be ensured. High levels of grip to a flat surfaces will also prevent load slippage.
Using an internal textile lining the inserted sling can glide easily through the sleeve, this especially useful when lifting a coil as you can turn the coil over 180º safely without any damage and without accident.
These sleeves have proved themselves under the hardest conditions. They prolong lashing and lifting system life by a high factor.
Armourtex Sleeves can be added to a webbing sling (normally a duplex type) or a round sling where a safe lift procedure is required. We supply a lot of our Armourtex sleeves for lifting steel coils, steel beams, concrete pipes and generally where the product being lifted is susceptible to damaging the sling and ultimately injuring the person doing the lift. With safety in mind it is worth your peace of mind purchasing and using our Armourtex sleeves and definitely not an alternative method such as old pieces of carpet etc.
Armourtex can be bonded onto webbing slings which will be used for its anti cutting properties or where abrasion damages a sling then a thin layer sprayed on is the answer.
Armourtex chain & wire
Chains and Ropes will be protected from damage whilst lifting sharp edged loads with ARMOURTEX PU protective sleeves.
Armourtex is suitable for anti cutting and protection due to:
- High structural rigidity – textile sleeve, single or double-sided Polyurethane coating.
- High resistance to abrasion – Abrasion 60mg (DIN 53 516).
- Extremely cut resistant – Good protection against cuts is ensured from 5mm coating thickness. Polyurethane Elastomer approx. 80 Shore A
- Very good elasticity – 450% stretch capacity (DIN 53 504)
- Good chemical resistance
- No ageing (If stored correctly – Technical sheet available)
ARMOURTEX PU protective sleeves are manufactured out of Polyurethane Elastomer, a material unique in its extreme resistance to abrasion and cutting, thus offering optimal protection of the webbing material can be ensured. High levels of grip on flat surfaces also prevent load slippage.
A textile lining ensures that the inserted belt can glide easily through the sleeve. In this way, an overstressing of the material will be avoided. The sleeves can be fitted with strong sleeving inserted for more demanding tasks (such as coil transport).
These sleeves have proved themselves under the hardest conditions. They prolong chain and wire rope system life by a high factor.
